SYNOPSIS
La Bohéme is the famous tale of love and struggle for a group of artists that inspired the
Broadway sensation and Hollywood movie Rent.

The opera begins with the painter Marcello and the poet Rodolfo struggling to stay warm,
while their landlord, Benoit, shows little compassion and demands the overdue rent. An
unexpected visit from their neighbor, Mimi, leads to a love affair with Rodolfo filled with ups
and downs. With a cast of characters including philosophers, musicians, poets and even
the wealthy Alcindoro, Puccini’s masterpiece, La Bohéme will take you on a musical journey
through the many dimensions of friendship, love, life and even death. Arguably the world’s most popular opera, you’ll recognize Puccini’s melodies instantly.
