SYNOPSIS
Set in a small Sicilian village, the young soldier, Turiddu, returns to his hometown and seduces Santuzza, a peasant girl. Leaving her pregnant, he moves on and falls in love, or at least in lust, with Lola. Santuzza finds out, and in a weak moment tells Lola’s husband Alfio of the sordid affair. If you watch reality TV, you never know what is going to happen next. The music remains some of the most famous in all of opera, also being heard on The Godfather: Part Three and The Soprano’s. Also starring and making her San Antonio debut is famed soprano Veronica Villarroel.
