Any singer wishing to be considered for the Opera Chorus must re-audition yearly to renew their placement on the Opera Chorus Roster. The next open auditions will be in January 2012. Placement on the Roster does not guarantee an invitation to participate in a production. The next production is Rossini's Barber of Seville in June 2012. All singers should prepare 2 selections from the opera repertoire, at least one of which should be in a foreign language, and provide a current resume. An accompanist will be provided. Headshots are optional. Chorus members are considered professional members of the San Antonio Opera company and are paid an honorarium per production.
