San Antonio Opera Legacy Society
San Antonio Opera Legacy Society
To support its operations or programs, San Antonio Opera welcomes those who make a commitment to the future of opera in the region by including specific provision in their estate planning. Gifts may be directed to the opera's permanently restricted endowment fund, to a reserved board-designated fund, to a specific program, or to general operations. Funding is often made to honor the memory of a loved one.
There are many tax-advantaged vehicles available to you as you consider estate planning including bequests (general, specific, residual or contingent), a testamentary trust, or the naming of San Antonio Opera as the beneficiary of your retirement plan or life insurance policy. These options allow you to maximize the personal benefits of your charitable giving, and may enable you to support the opera at levels you thought impossible by taking full advantage of available tax benefits. We encourage you to speak with your tax advisor and attorney about planned giving options and any reduction of income, capital gains, or transfer (inheritance) taxes that you may stand to realize.
When you have made a planned giving decision, we hope you will let us know and enable us to express our gratitude; with your permission, we will list your name among the growing number of planned giving donors.
